The price of gold may rise to $3,000 per troy ounce within one and a half to two years. This opinion was expressed to RIA Novosti by the president of the polymetallic holding Seligdar, Alexander Khrushch, on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
Currently, gold is trading at around $2,500 per troy ounce (31.1 grams) on the Comex New York exchange.
“We can cautiously say that we will not be surprised if we see a price of around $2,600 per ounce by the end of the year, because today it fluctuates around $2,500, that is, in principle, it can be higher. We also understand that on the horizon of one and a half to two years, we may well see a price of $3,000. All this now depends on the macro situation in our country and the world,” Khrushch said.
According to the holding’s president, the price of gold will grow as long as uncertainty and high volatility in both rates and inflation persist in the global economy.
Recall that the VEF-2024 will last until September 6. The main theme of the forum this year is “Far East – 2030”.
