Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan to build resorts on Chatkal land together

The resort projects were presented within the framework of the business forum “Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan”, the correspondent of Podrobno.uz reports.

A year-round resort with ski resorts “Chapchyma” in the Chatkal district and “Chatka” on the Besh-Salaa section will be built.

The resort projects were presented within the framework of the recent business forum “Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan: a new stage of tourism cooperation” in Tashkent. A memorandum of cooperation was also signed between the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Economy and Trade of Kyrgyzstan and the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan on the implementation of the investment project “Chatkal Resort”.

The construction of the resort is connected with the plans for the construction of the Talas-Chatkal-Tashkent highway, which were considered by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov at a meeting in Urumqi. A roadmap is currently being developed for the project, its implementation will increase mutual trade and enhance the tourism potential of the two countries.

The Talas-Chatkal-Tashkent road will also allow the construction of a cascade of hydroelectric power plants on the Chatkal River.

Recall that Kyrgyzstan has repaired a bridge on the border with Uzbekistan.
